With a degree in Plant Science from Cornell University and 15 years of experience working for a landscape contractor in New York City, Andrew is extremely passionate about green spaces in NYC. Since 2006 Andrew has lived and worked in New York. Originally from upstate, Andrew spent most of his childhood on the golf course or gardening. At Cornell, Andrew was the captain of the Cornell golf team his senior year, the same year he completed an honors thesis on turfgrass research. After 15 years of collaborating with NYC property managers, managing crews, budgets, and navigating a pandemic, Andrew has shifted focus on design and maintenance consultation.

In his personal life, Andrew is married to Yena Jung, founder and principal at By Yena Designs, an NYC based event design company. They met in a flower shop in 2011. Yena and Andrew reside in the Larchmont, NY with their 2 young children Joey and Ryan and dog Georgie. The backyard is full of color and where Andrew experiments with new plant combinations and varieties.
